KARACHI: Pakistani Counter
Terrorism Department (CTD) has claimed to have busted a local network of Indian
spy agency, Research Analysis Wing (RAW) in the Sindh capital.
Addressing
a press conference in Karachi(Pakistan)
on Thursday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaja said four
terrorists trained by the Indian spy agency have been arrested by CTD, adding
the arrested accused were trained in different parts of India.
He
said the arrested men were identified as Khalid, Muhammad Mohsin alias Kashif,
Abdul Jabbar alias Tension and Muhammad Shafiq alias Pappu.
He
claimed that arrested ‘Raw-associated’ men belong to a political party.
However, the SSP said the place from where they were arrested would not be made
public at this stage.
“They
were involved in an attack on Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) Chief, Afaq Ahmed
and a bomb blast in Orangi Town,” SSP Naveed Khawaja said.
"One
of the accused has agreed to become an approver", CTD officer said. He
further said that the arrested men used to receive millions of rupees from
India.
